Top 100 People of 2008

James is into the top 100 people of 2008 , very very good source
69. James Marsters. His guest stint as the rebellious, flirtatious Captain John added a spark to Torchwood's second season, and Smallville fans enjoyed his run as the evil Brainiac. When will the guy get a regular gig so his roles won't be such a rare delicacy?

December q-a

Q & A is up in the official site
December 2008

When acting, is it a fine line between being over the top and being believable?
No, it’s not a fine line it’s a glaring line. Even if you are one millimeter over, it’s glaring and you can feel the people around you on the set lose hope. The camera is completely unforgiving on that level.

Can you dance and if so, what kind of dance do you do most? What is dancing like for you?
I love to dance. I started break dancing before they called it break dancing - they called it “get down” in the 70’s. I can also waltz, but I’m afraid the punk rock movement did a lot of damage to my dancing ability...
(Now I need to see absolutely, I want see James does break dance PLEASEEEEEEEEEE ;))

What do you keep putting off for another day?
Hmmm... Cleaning out the boxes underneath my desk and cleaning out the garage, but none of that crap is mine!!

What do you feel you know most about?
I am just coming to learn that I don’t know much about anything.

Clone Wars series

I get an official e-mail, James made a new work :

James has recently voiced an episode for the Clone Wars series that airs on the Cartoon Network and we just now got word that his episode will air tomorrow night, December 5 at 9pm Eastern Time.

Note: For those of you on the Dish Network, apparently it will only air on the east coast.

more info about this animated video here

There is an interview of James about this series :

James Marsters Talks Clone Wars
As Spike (AKA William the Bloody) on the hit TV shows Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Angel, and as Captain John Hart on Torchwood and Milton Fine on Smallville, actor James Marsters has a talent for playing anti-heroes and witty villains you can't quite figure out until it's too late. As Captain Argyus on Star Wars: The Clone Wars, Marsters again portrays a character who may not be all that he seems. Argyus appears in "Cloak of Darkness", the ninth episode of the series, airing on December 5th on Cartoon Network.

StarWars.com chats with Marsters about Captain Argyus, his childhood memories of Star Wars and why his proud to play so many roles in the sci-fi/fantasy realm.

How did the character of Captain Argyus come your way? more here ...

James Marsters joins Star Wars - but not as Anakin Skywalker

In an interview with StarWars.com (yeah, I go there) former Buffy the Vampire Slayer baddie James Marsters talks about his new character, Captain Argyus, who he voices on tonight's ep of Star Wars: The Clone Wars. But, here's the interesting news: Marsters says George Lucas once considered him for the role of Anakin Skywalker for the Star Wars prequel films.

"When George Lucas was casting The Phantom Menace he, for one day maybe, considered me for the role of Anakin Skywalker and possibly found that I was too old," Marsters told StarWars.com...more
